The Le Pine Funerals Hcp, 1000m, looks well within the grasp of the Aaron Purcel trained Lady Esprit. She's been racing in great heart of late and continues to thrive in training. Solid gallop on Tuesday, working over 800m in 52.65 and 24.22 last 400m, without ever really being extended at any stage. Loves this distance and already a winner of 2 from 3 here. Each way all day!

Speed demon Danuki worked extremely well during the week on his home track at Caulfield. Clocked over 1000m in a time of 1.03.12, last 400m in 23.75 and 11.64 last furlong split. No excuses fitness wise, he's one to take on trust.

Watch the market moves for the Mick Price trained British Medium, in the Thurley's Bucks Day Plate, 1000m. By the all-conquering Snitzel, ran an even trial recently at Cranbourne, showing early toe and knocking up over the last 100m. Track work on Tuesday morning was excellent, in company. Went through his paces over 600m, clocking 38.18 and a slick last 400m sectional of 23.28 and appeared to have their measure.

Big watch also on the Tony Vasil trained Coronel, who was highly fancied on debut in the listed Debutant Stakes. Since trialled 2nd at Cranbourne and reported to be working very well on the training track.

Best worker of the trio contesting the Chandler Macleod Hcp, 1300m was Poet's Corner on Tuesday morning. Up in class here, but he's improving with every run and he'll contest this a very fit horse on the day. Tuesday morning he strode over 800m in 49.06 and 23.13 last 400m, excellent work on the morning.

Kasi Farasi was impressive on debut. Galloped over 1000m, home last 600m in 38.15.

Softest of trials for the talented Bellegano, resuming off 2 recent trials this month. Should sprint well fresh.

Expected Heavenly Descent to go a lot better than her last start 5th. She's been up for a while now and might be better suited to the step up to 1600m in the Clanbrooke Racing Hcp. Solid gallop on Tuesday morning, when working over 1200m in 1.20.22 and 23.92 last 400m. try her on both totes.

Alinghi's grandson Roar has been racing in great heart this time in and there's no reason he won't perform well again when presented in the Spicer Thoroughbreds Hcp, 1600m. Robert Smerdon hasn't done much with him since scoring last Friday at Cranbourne, however, he'll be rock hard fit on the day and there to win if good enough.

Just a soft trial for Atone, who'll be out to make it 2 from 2. Monitor moves for him closely.

Excellent return to racing by the Andrew Noblet trained Tell The Truth, who looks a real live hope in the United Petroleum Hcp 1400m. Might need another run, but he can definitely figure prominently here and is one to blackbook this time in. Tuesday morning he wasn't knocked about when working over 1000m, home last 400m in 24.20.

Terrible run last start by Good Therapy at Mooney Valley, he's better than that. He worked over 1000m in 1.07.45 and 24.33 last 400m. 4th run in from a spell here and it wouldn't shock to see him finish around the money. Looks a nice each way bet.
