Last start Group One winner Aloisia takes on both sexes in the Group 2 Drummond Golf Vase, run over 2040m. No reason she won’t go the extra distance here. Taken to the Valley on Tuesday morning and partnered up with Pemberley over 1400m, clocked at 1.48.81 and 24.21 last 400m. Oaks bound and hard to beat in this. My top selection.
Big watch on the Smerdon runner Nature Strip Friday night under lights in the Mitchelton Wines Hcp, 1000m. Created quite an impression when scoring on debut. Fitter for the run and worked super on Tuesday morning at Caulfield over 600m, stopping the clock at 35.90. Monitor market moves.
Lady Esprit resumes for the Purcell yard in the flying 55 Second Challenge at M.V, 955m. Slick gallop on Saturday morning over 800m, zipping home her last 800m in a tick on 23.0.
Petite’s Reward went an easy 800m on Tuesday in 56.83 and 25.97 last 400m.
I’d expect another good run from the Mick price trained Bassett, 3rd up in the Baisi Fashion Group Hcp 1200m. Eye catching run last start when 4th, beaten 2.2L behind Rich Charm. Solid work on Tuesday morning, when galloping 1000m in 1.07.23 and 23.73 last 400m. Looks ready.
Quality Snitzel colt Ducimus resumes for the Mick Price Stable, ex Hawkes. High class conveyance who goes well fresh and looks primed to run a race on Saturday in the Phonewords Stakes, 1200m, at Group 3 level. Had a look around Moonee Valley on Tuesday morning over 1000m, clocking 1.04.42 and 23.91 last 400m.
Experimentation worked at Caulfield over 800m in 50.0 and 24.25 last 400m.
You could do a lot worse than following Oregon’s Day in the Powerflo Stakes, 1600m, Group 3 for the mares. Crying out for ground and has the miles in her legs to shake the life out of this. Slick work over 1200m on Tuesday, recording a time of 1.18.45 and 24.30 last 400m.

Snitty Kitty was outstanding when resuming in BM90 mares company on 1st October. Thriving in work at Caulfield, Tuesday morning she went through her paces over 800m in 51.30 and 23.03 last 400m.

High class 3yo Property’s work was enormous over 600m, clocking 35.50 and 22.97 last 400m, which should hold him in good stead first up. Both winning hopes in the Caulfield Sprint, 1000m.

Octabello, from the Mick price yard will face the starter 2nd up, in the Gothic Stakes run over 1400m. Quality win when resuming, looks set for a good prep and is one to follow. Worked keenly with Mactier (also engaged here) over 1000m, clocking 1.05.80 and 24.0 last 400m.

Hard to fault  Lord Sundowner, solid gallop over 1000m. clocking  1.06.64 and 24.91 last 400m, on the bit.

Progressive 3yo staying prospect Hiyaaam ranks highly in the Ethereal Stakes, where she’ll be third up and ready to pounce. Excellent run last start, improved leaps and bounds and expected to figure prominently once again. Tuesday morning she worked over 1600m in evens, home last 600m in 37.61 and last 400m split in 23.12. Each way.

Sydney raider Lucky Louie went 2000m in evens and 24.10 last 400m. Coral Coast worked 1600m in 1.55 and 24.56 last 400m.

Quality mare Silent Sedition tackles the Tristarc Stakes 2nd up, a few scratchings should see her slot in a little closer than barrier 18. Worked keenly on Tuesday morning over 1000m, clocking 1.06 and 24.0 last 400m.

Strong pacework for Now Or Later should see her present in tip top order and the fittest of the trio, Swampland, was clocked going an easy 1000m in 1.11.50 and 25.47 last 400m. Tough race, luck in running will be the deciding factor.

Big watch on the smart debut winner Naantali, who will line up in the Resimax group Plate, 1400m. her work was excellent on Tuesday, she breezed over 800m in 50.50 and 23.0. Big class rise, however, she looks to be above average.

The Stokes camp is likely to back up with the in form Counterplay, who looks well placed against this lot.
