Really like the way the Cloin Little trained Blue Ribbon is progressing this time in. She drops 6kg on her last start metro win and looks hard to beat once again. She'll face the starter in the Johnstaff Projects Hcp, 1600m, Flemington. Will get the run of the race from barrier 3, has trained on a treat since, stick with her! Tuesday morning she worked over 1200m in 1.20 and 23.50 last 400m.

The Robert Smerdon trained Rockshaft ran a much improved race last start, peaking on his run over the concluding stages, holding on to third, beaten 3.15L to the line. Improving all the time, holding his condition well and looks a live chance in the Victoria University Handicap, 1410m, Flemington. The Colin Little trained Lonhreign ran a good race first up at Ballarat, in a 0-68 $40k showcase event, beaten 2.6L by Le Remas. Has a good record at this track and distance, this looks well within his grasp. Tuesday morning he worked over 1000m in 1.06.50 and last 600m in 36.50.

The Peter Moody trained Star Salute ran into the superstar 3yo filly Atlantic Jewel when last in work, hardly disgracing herself on both occasions, beaten 6.4L and 5.9L respectively. Had a freshen up for 8 weeks, goes well first up, placed at track and already a winner at this distance. Look out for her in the Kane Constructiions Hcp, 1000m. Tuesday morning she worked over 800m in 52.42 and 37.74 last 400m.

The Rick Hore-Lacy trained Snitza didn't look comfortable in the Heavy conditions last start and was well beaten as a consequence. Much better than that run would suggest. He lines up in the Mitchelton Wines Hcp, 2500m, under lights Friday night. He's rock hard fit and being out of a Zabeel mare, shouldn't have any issues stepping up in distance.

The Mick Price team have 2 runners assembled in the Eems Tech Hcp, 1600m, under lights at the Valley Friday night. Hard to split the pair, slight leaning to Brochette who's proven over a mile already. Simple Choice did run very well in Listed company last start, only beaten 2.55L behind Secret Liason over 1400m. Tuesday morning she strode over 1200m in 1.20.50 and 12.67 last furlong. Dayita is a last start winner, way up in class. Still lightly raced and on the up. Each way chance for multiples.

The Andrew Noblet trained Penski Material had a tough run last start at Sandown in midweek company. Forced to work for the lead, then worked hard into a head wind up the straight. Run before that at Geelong was excellent, sticking to her guns up the straight when clearly headed. She'll line up on Sunday at the Valley, in the mares 0-72 Hcp, 1200m. Record at track and distance is excellent, trained on well and should be in this for a long way. Tuesday morning she worked over 1000m in 1.03.76 and last 400m in 23.85.
