Reports out of Adelaide from the Mick Price stable are that Netherfield is thriving over there and expected to run a bottler of a race in the Ubet South Australian Derby, run over 2500m at Group 1 level for the 3yo's. In form Plenty To Like went 1000m in 1.04.56 and 23.92 last 400m. Pedrena also worked super, clocked over 800m in 50.80, last 200m in 11.34.

The Ladbrokes Hcp, 1600m, appears to be a nice race on paper for Castelo, trained out of the C . McDonald yard. Drops down to 54kg, rock hard fit and coming off a nice 4th last start behind Burning Front here at Caulfield. Tuesday morning he worked 1000m in 1.07.04 and 24.95 last 400m, unextended. Gets his chance here.

Grand Dreamer has been ticking over nicely in work since scoring an effortless last start win at Randwick. 2nd in a recent trial behind Hooked at Cranbourne topping him off nicely for the step up to 2000m in the Chandler Macleod Classic.

Duke Of Ellington is progressing well for the Ciaron Maher stable and a definite winning hope here. Went through his paces on Tuesday morning, last 1000m home in 1.06.31 and 23.85 400m split.

Classy 3yo Ruthven only has to run up to his A.J.C Derby 4th behind John Snow to take out the TROA Gold Heath Classic, 2000m. Solid gallop Tuesday morning, working home last 1000m with Judelly, clocking 1.05.46 and 23.54 last 400m. Spot on.

In form Hard Call rates as a logical danger. Worked last 800m home in 52.03 and 23.76 last 400m split.

Petits Filous first run back for almost a year was excellent, finishing 4th, collared over the concluding stages. Has come on nicely since and should acquit herself well in the Irwin Stakes, 1100m, Group 3 run at Morphettville. Tuesday morning she worked very well over 800m, clocking 50.12 and home last 400m in 23.02. (Also nominated for Caulfield meeting)

Wazzenme and Legless Veuve are nominated to run in Adelaide and Caulfield, both horses some sort of hope wherever they step out. Wazzenme is rock hard fit and working super. Tuesday morning he went through his paces over 800m, clocking 51.26 and 11.77 last furlong.

Legless Veuve will drop back in distance after a freshen up. She worked 600m in 36.61, last furlong in 11.89. Don't underestimate her, she should run well.

Motown Lil, in form, as fit as a fiddle and deserves a crack at this level.

The Swear at Spendthift Sires Produce looks a tough race on paper. Huge debut from Je Suis Tycoon. She went through her paces on Tuesday over 800m, clocking 57.89 and a slick 23.10 last 400m. Sun Quan, highly rated by the Price stable, worked with Silverhawk over 1000m, last 200m in 11.84, not much between them.

Each way again Diamond Baroness in the VOBIS Gold Distaff, 1400m. WEnt 100m Tuesday morning, clocking 1.05.88 and 23.97 last 400m. Holding her condition well and always tries her guts out.

Like the look of the Colin Little trained Kazio, appears to have a bright future ahead of him. He'll face the starter in the Gold Reef Hcp, 1600m which should suit him perfectly at this stage. Work was solid over 1200m on Tuesday morning, stopping the clock at 1.19 and 36.50 last 400m. Still on the up, stick with him.
