The McKenzie Stakes looks a nice race on paper for the Mick Price trained Lone Eagle. Shown a stack of ability in only 3 outings to date and freshen up has done him the world of good and I'd expect him to be ultra competitive here. Tuesday morning he worked with Cao Cao, (promising 3yo who is some chance here too) over 800m in evens, last 400m in 23.89. His recent work on the training track has been first rate.

She's a winner first up and excels at this track and distance. 54kg on her back and barrier 5, likely to sit up on the pace and should be thereabouts at the business end. Reports from Tuesday morning where that she worked on the Valley course proper and was "very impressive".

Crown Witness has a fitness edge over her more fancied rivals in the Quezette Stakes and it should carry her a long way here. 2 from 2 and still untapped, wasn't pushed hard on Tuesday morning, striding over 800m in evens and 24.30 last 400m. Spot on.

Unknown quantity She's So High worked super with Cao Cao, clocking 52.06, last 400m split of 22.60.
