Duke Of Ellington has been at Ciaron Maher's Warnambool base and freshened up for the O'Grady Hcp, 1700m. He's got the miles in his legs and the drop back in distance and 4 weeks between runs might do the trick to rejuvenate this out of form import. Reports from the stable are positive and he'll represent good each way value.

Last start winner Swampland has been nominated for Sydney as well as the VRC Mark Young Hcp, 1400m. Always shown above average ability, she's building an imposing record already from only
10 starts to date, Rock hard fit, worked 1000m in evens and 25.0 Tuesday morning. Should run well wherever she bobs up.

The Andrew Noblet trained Seattle Boom peaked on his run last start and strips fitter for that run second up. He'll line up in the Charles White Hcp and drops back to 1000m here.Worked stylishly during the week over 800m, clocking 51.0 and 23.97 last 400m. Try him on both totes.

Removal has been in top form recently without scoring. Gets his chance in Adelaide in the James Boag Hcp, 1000m (or the Sunday Bendigo meeting). Wasn't pushed hard on Tuesday morning, working over 800m in 55.04 and last 400m in 25.05. Fit as a fiddle, no excuses other than his wide draw.

Huge Drop in grade Sunday at Bendigo for Liu Bei in the Jayco 3yo Maiden, 1300m. Solid gallop on Tuesday morning, under a good hold, he went 1000m in 1.07.34 and 12.05 last 200m. Trained on nicely since his last run in town.

Debutant Alma Bubbles worked solidly during the week. Monitor market moves closely on the Smerdon trained Misscino.

Watch Eureka Street wherever he runs on the weekend, in either the Domain Hcp at Flemington or Sandown on Sunday. Caught the eye last start and he's not far off a win.
Tan Tat Trusting worked 1400m in 1.39.08 and 39.48 last 400m. Windbern and Summer Glen worked 1600m in 1.56.93 and 25.31 last 400m. All runners will be at value each way odds.

Always had an opinion of Cao Cao, who resumes in the Pavillion Hcp, 1000m, Flemington. Work this time in has been excellent and he looks primed to run well fresh. Tuesday he worked over 1000m, home last 400m in 23.39 and 11.71 last 200m split.

Dulverton, the quintessential "mares in form" horse here in the New Season Hcp, 1700m. Up 2.5kg after the claim on her last win. No world beaters here and I can't see why shy shouldn't be in the finish again. Tuesday she worked over 1000m in 1.08.15, unextended throughout.

Crown Witness was impressive on debut at Sandown. Big rise in grade here in the Winter Lodge Hcp, 1000m. She does look above average and her work on Tuesday morning was solid when striding over 600m in 36.90, with something in hand. Monitor moves.

Revolving Door will be at his peak for the Rails Hcp, 1400m. Rock hard fit, working well and there will be no excuses for him here. Tuesday morning he strode over 1000m in 1.06.27 and 23.59 last 400m.
Orient Line, fit and flying. He worked home his last 800m in 51.50 and 24.0 last 400m. Divine Mr Artie loves it here. He went 1000m in 1.12.88 and 24.60 last 400m.

The Bletchingly Stakes will be transferred to the Sunday meeting at Sandown this week.The Robert Smerdon trained Ability could go the next step here. Flying on the training track and on race day, must rate as a solid each way hope.
Duke Of Brunswick and Lankan Rupee worked together at Sandown on Wednesday, hitting the line together, after Lankan took the sit on him and leveled up over the concluding stages.
