Quality field assembled in the $250k Inglis dash, 1100m. Nature Strip looks a Group One horse and you’d expect him to go very close here. Worked super on Tuesday over 600m, clocking 35.0 and a slick 22.75 last 400m sectional.

The promising Dwyer conveyance, Onehundred Percent, worked 800m in 50.35 and 23.53 last 400m.

Teleplay and See Me Exceed sizzled home their last 400m in 22.75, top notch gallops.

The Mick price trained mare Bint El Badu drops back to 2500m in the Doriemus Hcp. She’s been around the money on race day and is trying her guts out and thriving in training. She’s a ball of muscle going in to this and looks well placed. Tuesday morning she went 1600m in 1.52.46 and 24.91 last 400m, fairly typical work for her.

Dornier has been around the mark of late. He worked 1.57.81 and 39.04 last 600m. Doesn’t salute very often. Each way again.

Ever consistent Mahamedeis worked evenly over 1000m on Tuesday morning, clocking 1.08.73 and 37.85 last 600m, doing it easy enough. Steps up drastically in distance to 2000m in the Patrobas Hcp, however, he’s got the miles in his legs to run this out.  Each way.

The lightly raced Anneka creates interest. Restricted to treadmill work this week.

The in form and fit Sheriff John Stone drops down to 53.5kg after the claim, in the Cricket.com.au Hcp, 1200m. Stable keeping him fresh for this race. Can’t fault him going into this, each way.

The Mick Price camp will send Rosewedge to Morphettville where she only has to carry 54kg in the BM70 James Boags Premium Hcp, 1300m. Tuesday morning she went through her paces over 1000m in 1.06.63 and 37.52 last 600m split. Fit as a fiddle if good enough.

Maintenance gallop on the Warnambool course proper during the week for the Purcell trained Guizot, who’s always a live hope at every outing. Drops to 57kg in the Bitalli Hcp, 1800m, a BM84 race. 3 weeks between runs shouldn’t pose any problems for this fit imported galloper, who looks close to breaking through.

Expect the Mick Price trained The Chairman to improve with racing and distance, however, the Seascay Hcp, 1700m isn’t out of his grasp here 2nd up. Wasn’t pushed hard on Tuesday morning, working over 1200m in evens and 24.84 last 400m. Going well this time in and on target to bag a few. Black-book him.

Impressive debut from Al Dorama at Sandown back in December, going down by ½ length to Graceful Storm. He’s improved in condition nicely since and appears to right in the mix in the Meadow Mist Plate, 1000m. His work was good during the week, striding over 600m in 35.50 and 23.76 last 400m.

The improving and untapped Tagreeda worked super during the week in the lead up to the Craftsman Hcp, 1400m. She partnered up with Mighty Boss over 1000m, running home last 800m in 50.29 and 23.31 last 400m split. 3rd up and well placed.

Bellegano also 3rd up,  went 600m in 36.52 and 23.79 last 400m.

Shawla breezed over 800m in 51.89 and 23.86 last 400m.

The Aaron Purcell trained Lite’n My Veins has been holding his condition well given he’s been so sparingly raced over the Summer months. He’ll should be right there amongst them in the Chester Manifold Stakes, 1400m, run at listed level. Maintenance gallop on Tuesday over 1000m in 1.10 and a tick on 26.0 last 400m. C Williams to pilot a huge plus.

The Henry Dwyer trained Straviera is 3rd up in the Gavelhouse Bm64 Friday night at Cranbourne. Impressive win last start, no reason she won’t be very competitive again if she can overcome her awkward alley. Tuesday morning she went 600m in 37.38 and 23.92 last 400m, on the bit.

Mick Price will most likely back up with Pete’s Dragon on Friday night at Cranbourne in the NZB Karaka BM64 Hcp. She’s been in excellent order throughout this prep and racing in great heart. Rock hard fit and holding her condition well, stable expect her to be right there at the business end.

Big watch Sirius Black who drops in grade on her most recent outing.
